Post-it Number 1: Funding at Key Stage 2

This is a very important issue.  The present system must be changed whatever educational system is decided upon. 

Here are some views that we have already received

"I believe very strongly that change needs to happen to secure fair funding from the beginning of a child's journey through education and that resources have been sadly lacking and will continue to be, if radical steps are not taken."  First School governor

"As soon as my Year 4 children cross the road to the Middle School in September they are worth much more in terms of funding.  For the next two years they will be studying the same curriculum and have the same resource needs.  Yet, the Middle School will receive a considerable amount more per child than did the First School." First School Headteacher

"A more even spread of resources across the whole key stge would allow schools to identify, target and support children who may be under attaining at both ends of the special needs spectrum." First School Teacher
